Description

The 149th Annual Diocesan Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York takes place at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Liverpool, New York on Friday, November 10th and Saturday, November 11th.

Keynote speaker: The Rev. Dwight Zscheile, author of The Agile Church: Spirit-Led Innovation in an Uncertain Age (2014) and People of the Way: Renewing Episcopal Identity (2012). The keynote address will follow celebration of Holy Eucharist on Saturday morning, November 12th.

There is no cost to attend worship and the keynote address only, but you must register (choose "Guest without meals" for free registration if you do not plan to stay for lunch).

What is the registration fee?

The registration fee is $65 per person ($35 for retired clergy, spouses of retired clergy, and any guests taking meals on one day only; free for youth representatives and guests taking no meals) for registrations completed by the October 2nd deadline.

After October 2nd, a $10 additional late fee applies to all registrations, making the registration fee $75 per person ($35 for retired clergy, spouses of retired clergy, and any guests taking meals on one day only; $10 for youth representatives and guests taking no meals).


What is the registration deadline?

The registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, October 2nd.

If you do not register by the deadline, a $10 late fee applies.

What if I need to change my registration?

Alternate delegates who will replace certified Lay Delegates should notify the diocesan office as soon as possible at (315) 474-6596 or office@cnyepiscopal.org.

Registration changes after November 1st must be completed at Convention. The check-in desk will be open at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10th.


What is the refund policy?

To cancel a registration, call the diocesan offices as soon as possible at (315) 474-6596.

Full refunds will be made to those who cancel by November 1st. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after November 1st.


Is child care available?

Child care is not available at Convention, but Scholarship assistance is available to cover your child care costs, covering up to ten hours per day at a rate of $7.50 per hour. Please contact the diocesan offices at (315) 474-6596 or office@cnyepiscopal.org to apply.


Are hotel accomodations available?

If you wish to reserve a room for the night of Friday, November 11th, please contact the Holiday Inn directly at (315) 457-1122 or 1-800-465-4329. When you make your reservation, tell them you are with the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York to receive the Convention rate of $118 plus tax per room. Payments should be made directly to the hotel.

  2. Personal check or credit card: single or double, $118.00, plus tax.

*NOTE: The Holiday Inn will honor your parish’s tax exempt form. HOWEVER, by law, they can only accept the tax exempt form IF you are paying with a parish check or parish credit card. If your parish has more than one person staying at the hotel, you should all check in at the same time OR, have separate tax exempt forms and parish checks for each person when you check in. Please follow-up with your parish as needed.


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need to bring a ticket to the event.
